Take a look at the latest!

This past week I received a custom order for a woman for some faux sugar cookies for a display she's doing with antique pieces. I liked the way they turned out so much that I'm offering them for sale in my shop. The icing color and sprinkles can even be customized!

It's been such a long time since I've been able to just have the time to create something new. It feels quite refreshing, actually. And these little faux cookies make me want to have a bite of the real thing. Enjoy!

Jenni B to be featured on Good Things Utah 6/18!

Tune in to Good Things Utah on Wednesday, June 18 at 10 am (if you live in Utah)! Jenni B of Jenni B Originals will be a featured guest. She will share her techniques for making Faux Cream Tartlets. They look exactly like real tiny cakes (see photo below). Jenni shared these same techniques on the Martha Stewart Show on December 7, 2007. If you live outside of Utah, check back for updates and a link to her Good Things Utah segment.

Yes, I'm still working!

It's true...I moved! But only for the summer. My hubby and I just relocated up to Northern Virginia for a few months and I'll be back in Charlottesville in September. Of course, I'll be visiting the good ol' C-ville occasionally so I'll be around from time to time.

I've been busy getting back into business after the move last week and am already getting back up to speed. It's easy to forget how much work moving is even when you only need to move your clothes and studio supplies!

All of this makes me so grateful that I have a job where I can move where I need to and work from practically any location. Owning your own business rocks! When we moved, I quit my full-time 9 to 5 job so now I'm only working my other full-time job - the faux dessert business. It's going to be nice having flexibility and more time to put into getting the Jenni B Originals name out there.

I have some REALLY exciting news to share in my next entry but I want to save it. Stay tuned!
