Faux Chocolate Truffles

Take a look at these tasty-looking treats. And look carefully - they're not real! Each one of these inedible confections was handmade to look good enough to eat. Think how cute they'd be displayed on a pedestal plate. And they'll last you forever! I want to hear from you - which one looks the most tantalizing to you? Mmmm... Chocolate!

I like this one. It's a "Strawberries & Cream Truffle!

Pedestal Plates & Faux Desserts

This is a display that I set up of some of my products
at Penny Lane Antiques in Charlottesville, Virginia. Drop in sometime!
Another image of the display.

Yummy chocolates! (But they're fake!)
These are for sale at my store for $5, plus shipping.
This is just another angle of the display table at Penny Lane's.
This is a close-up of some of the plates and treats I've made.
Note: there are no actual food items used to make these cakes!
However, I did use some cocoa to make the chocolate frosting on
one of the cupcakes because I liked the smell :).

Welcome

Welcome!
Because this is my first attempt at a blog, I sure hope you enjoy it! I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to post here, but I think I'll keep you updated on my creations. Currently, I am making pedestal plates from vintage components. I have posted a sample of some of my creations. As you can see, I like making artificial food as well! It's been a couple of months since I've tried my hand at this so I hope I'll still have the artistic touch I had before!
